Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos was a popular American war comic series published by Marvel Comics from 1963 to 1974. The series followed the adventures of a group of soldiers fighting in World War II. The Characters
The Howling Commandos were a group of twelve soldiers who were recruited by Sgt. Fury to carry out dangerous missions behind enemy lines. The team was made up of soldiers from all over the United States, and each member had their own unique skills and abilities.

- Gabe Jones, Jr.: A replacement soldier who joined the team after his father, Gabe Jones, was killed in action.
- Eric Koenig: A replacement soldier who joined the team after Izzy Cohen was killed in action.
- Timothy "Dum Dum" Dugan, Jr.: A replacement soldier who joined the team after his father, Dum Dum Dugan, was killed in action.
The Stories
